Every once in a while you stumble across ‘that app’. That application that pleasantly surprises you by providing a functionality that, while previously overlooked, will become essential for you. Phonalyzr is one such application for me. The concept is simple: keep track of your calls and run analytics on that data. This app is a must for me considering I may have a history of overusing my allotment of minutes per month. Through this application I can quickly see my

Top Callers (By number of calls and by minutes I spend talking to them)
Percentage of missed calls
Percentage of outbound / inbound calls
Number of Minutes spent talking per day
Call length distribution (This is one distribution that doesn’t look like a bell curve)
Usage Summary (How many minutes have I used so far this month)

All you need to supply the application is the day your billing period starts and the time your weekend hours begin. Phonalyzr takes care of the rest.

Pros: Great concept. Application is supremely useful, and provides a plethora of information about your calling habits

Cons: Interface could be more polished. Landscape views obscured some graphic representations.
