In my last post, I mentioned how Android was branching out into cheaper markets. It seems like Android also will be branching out into (excuse the pun) ‘greener’ markets as well.
Representatives from ZTE (Chinese：中兴通讯) (Zhong Xing Telecommunication Equipment Company Limited) have publicly confirmed that they will release an Android phone in the second quarter of 2010. In the same interview, it was hinted that this phone might be solar powered.
ZTE has already released a solar powered phone last year. At $40 this phone was quite cheap. It would seem logical that any Android phone they produce could be solar powered. Lets wait and see how this develops…
