Now that Android has established a firm standing in its initial markets of the United States, Western Europe, and Eastern Asia, it seems to be time that Android based devices begin spreading around the globe. Just recently the Android market extended support to the countries of France, Italy, Spain, Canada, Portugal, Switzerland, and Ireland.

Along with market support, actual Android-enabled devices are coming to Canada. Sure, Canadians have been able to buy the Developer device, but the masses have been oblivious to Android devices. That is about the change. Both the G1 (HTC Dream) and the G2 (HTC Magic) will be released in select areas of Canada starting June 2. Brought courtesy of Rogers communications, the G1 and G2 enter the Canadian market in competition with several Blackberry devices and the iPhone.
